The work
General Laborer work in this region
General labor is the broadest work we place and the most common way people start with us. It covers site cleanup and material handling on construction projects, housekeeping and support inside plants, demolition support, and event setup. You do not need a trade behind you to start, and for a lot of the people on our books it has been the way into a trade rather than an alternative to one — you are on site, you are seen working, and the crews around you notice.
What the assignments look like
- Construction site cleanup, material handling and support
- Plant housekeeping and industrial support during operations and outages
- Demolition and abatement support
- Event setup, teardown and load-in
- Moving, loading and general labor by the day or the project
Site conditions
Physical work, frequently outdoors and frequently in the region's summer heat. Assignments range from a single shift to ongoing project work. Steel-toe boots are expected almost everywhere; other PPE varies by site.
